The Lewis J. Ort Library is pleased to present three new displays in the library.
On the 5th floor is the celebration of the 100th birthday of President John F. Kennedy (JFK), who was born in May 1917. The display provides biographical information about JFK and includes some of the books that the library has on our 35th President of the United States.
The 4th floor of the library has a display on the history of the American Red Cross, including information on the co-founder of the American Red Cross, Clara Barton. The display provides some history of the organization and includes some of the resources the library has on the organization.
The final display is on the 3rd floor. This display celebrates Mother Goose Day on May 1st. This display highlights the history of "Mother Goose", including that some of the nursery rhymes may go back to the 10th century. The display also highlights some of the resources we have in the library on Mother Goose, including a Chinese Mother Goose book, a Muppets Mother Goose book, and a French Mother Goose book.
These displays will be up through the end of May.
