New Library Resource - ProQuest Historical Newspapers: The New York Times

The Ort Library is pleased to offer ProQuest Historical Newspapers: The New York Times to FSU students, faculty and staff.

This database provides a digital reproduction of every page of the newspaper, as it was originally published, dating from its first issue in 1851.  Coverage currently is from 1851 through 2010, with an additional year added annually.

Current content from the New York Times will continue to be provided by the Library through the National Newspapers database and OneSearch.

ProQuest Historical Newspapers: The New York Times replaces the Library's microfilm subscription to this newspaper, although reels will continue to be received through the end of 2014.

FSU students, faculty and staff may access this database via the Library's Databases A-Z list.  Content to the newspaper may also be accessed via relevant citations in OneSearch.  As with all of the electronic resources that are licensed to the Ort Library, off-campus access requires that users login using the barcode number on their FSU ID card and last name.

For additional information, please contact the Ort Library Reference Desk at 301-687-4424 or contact us online.
