The Ort Library offers DVDs and VHS tapes for student use.
The library offers educational and some popular DVDs/VHS tapes for use by
students, faculty, and staff. DVDs/VHS tapes are available to be checked out
for seven (7) days. When you find the DVD/VHS tape that you would like to check
out, stop by the Media Desk (located on the 2nd floor of the
library). We will get the DVD/VHS tape for you and then you can take it to the
Circulation Desk (located on the 3rd floor of the library) to check
the item out.
The library also provides a presentation room (for one or
more people) and several individual rooms to watch the DVDs/VHS tapes.

Weighing the Risks
There are several different ways to access the DVDs/VHS
tapes that the library offers:
If you want to see all the DVDs/VHS tapes
the library has available, you can search the library catalog. To do this:

In the center of the screen, click on the Tab
that says Catalog.

Click on the link that says FSU catalog.
d.
Once in the catalog, click on the Advanced
Search link at the top of the page.

Leave Word Search box blank (this will bring up
all results).
f.
Under format select Videos – DVD (to search for
DVDs) or Videos – VHS (to search for VHS tapes).
g.
Select Search.
h.
You will now have a list of DVDs or VHS tapes
that the library has available.
If you have a specific subject that you want to
see if we have a DVD/VHS tape for, you can search OneSearch.

Under the tab that says Articles, Books, and
More – type in a keyword of the topic you are looking for.

The results page that comes up will include all
types of media, including videos.
d.
To narrow down to just videos, on the left hand
side under the heading of Publication Type, click Show More.

Put a check next to Videos and click Update.
f.
Now you only have results of videos available.
g.
To get just the videos that are available at
FSU, on the left hand side under the heading Locations, click Show More.
h.
Put a check next to FSU and click Update.
i.
You now only have results of videos available
here at FSU.
