Accessing Library Resources during the Thanksgiving Break

As everyone gets ready to go home for the Thanksgiving holiday, the library wants to remind everyone that all of our electronic resources are still available for you to use to complete any research while you are at home.  The library offers OneSearch, which allows you to search the library catalog and the databases all at once.  If you want to search the library catalog or Research Port separately, those options are available to you as well.

When you are off-campus, you will need to have your 14-digit library barcode to access the resources in OneSearch or in Research Port.  The barcode begins with 2206. You can find your 14-digit library barcode on your FSU ID.  If you do not have access to your ID, you can get your barcode by logging into PAWS.  The steps to find your ID through PAWS:

  • Log into Paws
  • Select Self Service
  • Select Student Center
  • Under Other Area at bottom of screen select Library Acct Info
  • Library Barcode will be listed there

Additionally, if you need assistance from a librarian, you can contact Maryland AskUsNow 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and they will be there to help you with your research.  You can click on the Maryland AskUsNow icon below or on the library’s home page.

The library will close at 5pm Tuesday November 20
The library will re-open 1pm Sunday November 25

Have a safe and happy holiday!
