The Lewis J. Ort Library is pleased to present several new displays for March 2019.
The first display, located on the 5th floor, is celebrating the birthday of Dr. Seuss. The display highlights both his most famous characters as well as his advertising artwork he did during World War II. The display also contains information on some of the resources we have in the library on Dr. Seuss.
The second display, located on the 4th floor, celebrates the purchase of Alaska from Russia in 1867. The display also highlights the steps Alaska took to become the 49th state. The display also contains information on some of the resources we have in the library on Alaska.
The third display, located on the 3rd floor, celebrates Irish-American History Month. The display highlights the Great Hunger, which forced many Irish to leave Ireland and immigrate to the United States around the late 1840s and into the 1850s. The display also contains information on some of the resources we have in the library on the Great Hunger.
The fourth display, also located on the 3rd floor, has information about March Book Madness. There are also books that are in the running for March Book Madness that are available on the 3rd floor for checkout.
All displays will be up through the end of March.
