One Card, Three Libraries

The Lewis J. Ort Library at Frostburg State University has partnered with the Allegany County Library System public libraries and the Donald L. Alexander Library at the Cumberland campus of the Allegany College of Maryland to allow for one card to be used to access all three libraries. Patrons with a library card at any of the three libraries can elect to use one library card as their sole card at all three library systems, instead of carrying individual cards for each library system. FSU students, faculty, and staff members will be able to use their FSU ID cards at the public libraries and the ACM library if they choose. Library users will still need to complete the registration process at each individual institution and will adhere to each individual library’s policies and procedures as far as circulation and library usage.

For questions about this new initiative, please contact Amanda Bena, Access Services Librarian, at the Ort Library at FSU at 301-687-7012 or by email albena@frostburg.edu.
